Hotel Temple Citi

Hotel Temple City made sightseeing easy because it’s close to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and ferry point, with most major attractions an easy walk away. The rooms were spacious, clean, and hygienic, and the hotel was well maintained and family-friendly. It worked well for us with kids and senior citizens. We had a comfortable, pleasant stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kanyakumari.

Manager manikandan showed great hospitality, and the employees took good care of us. They arranged a vehicle for our travel needs, and that service was excellent. It’s a very nice and convenient place to stay. Food is provided when you order it.

We were lucky to get the room, since demand was high and there was a real chance we’d be turned away. We’d paid an advance by GPay after booking by phone, which helped when they couldn’t find the reservation at check-in. We were five family members and were advised to take a five-bed room. It was spacious and good quality for the money, especially at New Year, but remember that one large room has only one bathroom. Two rooms would give you two bathrooms for the same price. Don’t count on room or baggage service. The reception felt like a busy bus ticket office, with people and luggage everywhere. Parking is a bit scary if you’re driving yourself. I felt very lucky to find a spot, and left the car there for the whole stay. Roadside parking is at the public’s mercy. Breakfast was okay. The hotel and rooms were good, and since service wasn’t bad during such a busy New Year period, I’d give it four stars. We weren’t expecting anything special, and if you’re mainly concerned about room quality, I’d say go ahead.

The breakfast was really good, and the service was very good too. Many spots, including the sunrise and sunset points, beach, and vivekanandar memorial, are within walking distance. Still, I’d choose a place outside this busy area next time. It’s an old hotel with frequent building renovations, but the rooms haven’t quite caught up. A leak under the washbasin kept the whole bathroom wet. Parking space is limited and difficult to manage. Once you find a spot, it’s better to leave the car there until checkout unless you have no choice.
