Tri Sea Hotel

The temple and ferry port are both an easy walk away, which is the main advantage of this hotel. Parking is very limited, so they valet your car to another location. The rooms were comfortable and good, and the bathroom was clean. They’re somewhere between old-fashioned and modern, so don’t expect a very modern place. Overall, I was satisfied.

The location is the one strong point. It’s right by the Boat Jetty and Thiruvalluvar statue, and you can enjoy views of the statue and the beach sunrise. The rooms are quite old, though, and the balcony, walkway, and lifts were dirty, as if they hadn’t been cleaned in ages. There were even cigarette butts in the lifts. Aside from the location, the rooms, cleanliness, and service were very poor.

The staff were indifferent and unresponsive when we raised problems. Requests were ignored or handled without urgency or accountability, and basic amenities were missing: no kettle and no access to hot water. It felt like even the minimum effort hadn’t been made. There were spiders in several parts of the room, not just one isolated sighting, which suggested poor cleanliness and maintenance. From check-in onward, basic hygiene and service standards seemed ignored. This was one of the worst stays I’ve had and was completely unacceptable. I’d tell anyone considering this hotel to think twice. Other places actually respect guests and provide what they promise. Avoid it at all costs.

We stayed in December, and the location was the only good part. The room smelled, and there were two cockroaches near the bed. For the price, the rooms weren’t up to standard. The bathroom was old-fashioned, with old tiles and no shower, the cushion covers were dirty, and the curtains weren’t proper. Check carefully before booking.
