Mango Hill Pondicherry

We enjoyed our three nights, and Ms.Monali at reception was very helpful. The rooms were clean and good, but housekeeping could use improvement. A used tissue was on the wash basin when we checked in, the room phone apparently hadn’t been reinstalled after repairs, and on one day the towels weren’t replaced after cleaning.

Karthik and Surabhi were especially friendly, helpful, and attentive. Their prompt help and genuine care, along with the warm smiles from the whole team, made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The meals were fresh, tasty, and had plenty of choice. We also loved the clean, inviting pool, a good place to unwind after exploring. Our cottage was spacious, attractive, and well kept, with greenery all around and a calm feel. Mango Hill, Auroville gave us one of our best stays in Pondicherry. The cottages, food, pool, and service made for a memorable visit. We’d happily return and recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

Breakfast had a decent selection, though it wasn't anything extravagant. The pool was large and neat, with a separate kiddie pool, and the lounge had a reading corner plus a playroom with board games. Our rooms looked classy and were very well maintained. Staff were attentive, parking was ample, and being close to the main road made getting to pondicherry easier.

The restaurant service was the weak point, especially when ordering drinks. I felt they might be billing for a 60ml peg while serving only 30ml. I saw this myself when Shiva was serving my father and in-laws. Still, it's a lovely place to relax with family if you're mainly planning to stay at the resort. We had three Thai cottage style rooms, I think, and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. I'd visit again if I come to the city.
