New Royal Guest House

Jogi and Subhash took great care of us, including helping with our trips and bookings throughout our time in Leh. We spent two weeks at Royal Guesthouse and felt at home. The rooms were roomy and had good hot water, and the market is nearby. Highly recommend!

The host was so kind, and breakfast on the terrace was lovely. The beds are comfortable, there’s hot water and wifi, and the market and Leh attractions are within walking distance. Highly recommended.

The rooms and bathrooms are large, and the location is okay, not far from market street. But the staff were a bit slow and I didn’t find them very helpful. There was a kettle, though no tea or coffee, just lots of sugar. Power didn’t come on until nearly 8pm, so there was no hot water, lighting, or way to charge cameras before then. The water pressure was weak too. The worst part was the street dogs in the empty lot next to the hotel. They barked from early morning until 8am, so I barely slept here @New Royal.

The best part was the shared sit-out balcony for adjoining rooms, with mountains on one side and Leh Palace on the other. The rooms are spacious and the location is close to Leh Market. Still, ours needed a proper cleaning. The tables and chairs had a thick layer of dust, and the rooms hadn’t been dusted well.
