OYO 10414 Hotel Tushar Residency

We were really disappointed. The bathrooms smelled awful, and the shower and taps weren't working properly. The restaurant food was unhygienic and terrible. I've never seen service this bad.

It felt overpriced for the condition of the rooms. The torn pillow cover and bedsheet weren't acceptable at any price. The AC clearly hadn't been maintained, the shower in my room didn't work, and the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned. Even the thermos they served tea in was broken. All of it made for a poor stay.

The hotel is tucked away in a rough Gali off the main road, with litter all around, and the property itself is poor. I'd booked online, paid in full, and received both an email and a call confirming it. But when I arrived, they refused to give me a room, saying everything was booked at a higher price. There was no manager available, reception wouldn't give me a contact number, and they offered no alternative place to stay. When I asked for a full refund, they told me to get it from the booking site, assuming I'd used makemytrip, cleartrip or another third party. It turned out I'd booked through their own site. They were ready to manhandle me when I pressed for the refund. I was with my family, so I left and filed a complaint on their site. Ten days later, I still hadn't received my money back. An auto driver helped me find another hotel that was better and cheaper. Never go there, even if they're charging 600 Rs for their shity rooms.

The reception staff were rude and hopeless, and seemed intent on taking advantage of guests. They charged us for supposedly complimentary tea, saying we'd ordered it before 8am. Breakfast choices were limited, and we were pushed to order extras at additional cost. The receptionist also connected us with a local cab driver who wanted to overcharge us. Oyo, please maintain your standards. We always used oyo and didn't expect this. Even one star feels too generous, and this was the worst customer service I could imagine.
