Umaiyyal Homestay by Treebo Hotels

We had a comfortable family stay in the clean, well-maintained quadruple room we booked for four adults. It’s close to the tourist spots. The booking included complimentary breakfast, but that was later denied and we had to pay Rs 150 per person. They gave us only one 1-liter bottle of water for four adults, and there was no drinking water facility in the room.

We stayed for two nights in a room booked with breakfast. We left early and got back late, but the team kept our breakfast for us, which we appreciated. On the first day, I had work to do on my laptop, and the Wi-Fi was very good. The staff also helped arrange food and supported us however they could. The rooms were neat and clean for a budget-friendly stay, with a water heater, good AC, TV, and car parking. Mr. Iyyaswamy took excellent care of things. Thanks as well to managers Murugesan and Lakshmanan, and room boys Limesh and Umesh, who were very helpful and courteous throughout. They looked after us well and made the stay comfortable and pleasant.

It’s a little way from the main road, but there’s a non-veg restaurant nearby that’s open at night, along with a grocery, fruit shop, and tea shop. For lunch, we had to walk 500 meters to the main road, where there are lots of restaurants. The beach, Gandhi Mandabam, and other sights are within 1 km. The owner and staff were very friendly. It works well for family groups, with rooms for two, three, or four people and suites available. Breakfast is available in the morning.

The staff were really warm and welcoming, and made sure we were comfortable and well fed. The homemade food was the best we had in Tamil Nadu.
