The staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, and every conversation with them was warm and genuinely helpful. We also loved the spacious, clean, comfortable room and its art deco style. Bhanwar Villas Palace is beautiful, and we'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting Karauli.

We got to meet members of the royal family several times and had some interesting conversations with them. Horse riding on a marwari horse is possible too. The old city palace, its paintings, the property, our room, the food and the staff all made this a special stay. Wonderful experience in Karauli, highly recommended.

The royal family are gracious hosts who share fascinating stories and historical details that bring the marble walls, gardens and handpainted decor to life. The palace is near many religious sites and other palaces, and the food was some of the best I had in India. Walking into Bhanwar Palace felt like entering a fairytale. Its whimsical beauty and all the little details made me feel at times as if I were in a Wes Anderson movie. I've stayed in places all over the world, and this was seriously amazing. Highly recommend this hidden gem!
