We stopped here for one night on our way from Srinagar to Leh. Being right on the highway makes it convenient, and there’s a decent amount of parking. The rooms are spacious, with carpeted floors, a heater and a big sofa. The bed was soft, the linens only average, but comfortable enough for a night. The bathroom was clean and had the toiletries we needed. Our room was close to the road, so passing traffic was noisy. Staff were courteous, though their service didn’t feel very professional for the price. The restaurant was decent but not fancy, dinner was good, and the complimentary breakfast choices were limited. It was an average stay. In a remote area, safe places can be hard to find, and with family I’d put safety and comfort ahead of budget. If you’re okay paying a premium for a three-star overnight stop with few alternatives, this is a reasonable choice. The facilities could use improvement to make the stay more memorable.

We were given 10 rooms, all on the first floor, and the breakfast was hot and fresh. The restaurant and dining area are beside reception on the ground floor, with comfortable seating in the main lobby just a few steps away. The lift worked perfectly. Location, service and room quality were all very nice. No complaints, all five stars.

The food was delicious, and the room had a stunning view of Tiger Hill. Given Dras’s remote location, this is a pretty nice hotel and a useful stop on the way to Ladakh. The main road outside means traffic noise can be an issue even at night. Blackout curtains or some noise reduction would help with sleep. The basics could use a little work, but with those improvements the service could be much better.

We only meant to stay briefly, but a landslide left us stuck in Drass and looking for somewhere to spend the night. We ended up here and had a great experience. The staff were good, the food was delicious, and Mr Kumar was especially hospitable. I’d suggest trying the chicken Kanti, it was delicious.

I didn’t stay overnight, but I had a really delicious lunch here. Sitting near the window, I enjoyed the views outside in the Ladakhi sun. It seemed like a nice hotel, and I might come back to stay sometime.
