The evening view was breathtaking, and the food was homely and delicious. We asked for food at the last minute late at night, and the staff kindly provided it. They were polite and helpful. The hotel is a little walk from the market, but it’s quiet and well maintained, so it’s a good place to stop for the night.

I’m a tour planner, and I had a very bad experience with Kargil height on 17th April 2026. One group was travelling from Srinagar to Kargil, but their flight was late, so they reached Sonmarg at 12:30pm. ZoziLa was closed because of bad weather, and it was still closed the next day, so they couldn’t continue. I asked Kargil height for a refund, but they wouldn’t give me a proper answer. Now they’ve blocked my number and aren’t replying to my messages. I’m telling people not to pay an advance if they go there. They don’t seem to understand the situation. I had a second booking for 18th April 2026 in garkon, and they refunded me because, as they said, ZoziLa was closed and we couldn’t get there. Kargil height didn’t understand that.

We only had one night here on our way from Srinagar to Leh, and I wish we could have stayed longer. It’s a very nice hotel, with good service, a beautiful location and very clean rooms. Highly recommend.
