The complimentary food at Hemala Hotel was astonishingly varied, and every dish I tried was delicious. I've stayed at many Chennai hotels over the last 25 years, but hadn't seen anything like that. My friends in Karur suggested this place, and the hospitality, especially in the bar, was unlike any hotel service I've experienced. They made my birthday celebration memorable, and I'm grateful to the management and staff.

The room felt dated, and cleanliness needs attention. The AC barely cooled at all. I called reception at 2 a.m., but the situation didn't improve. Staff were nice, the location was okay, and breakfast had more variety than at other hotels, so that part was good.

The breakfast wasn't much of a highlight, but the staff really made the trip for me. They were so supportive and helpful, and the room was sparkling clean. I had an incredible stay and would definitely return! 🤩✨💖

I've been a regular for years, which makes today's Swiggy preorder lunch especially disappointing. The egg fried rice seemed to be made with stale rice from the day before mixed with scrambled eggs. The Manchurian seemed to use leftover fried chicken from yesterday with spices and sauces added. Please don't put people's health at risk just to make money.

The rooms are comfortable and neat, and there's plenty of dedicated parking. But the lift only goes partway up, so you still have to climb a flight of stairs to reach the upper floors. That makes it difficult for elderly guests and people with knee problems. The restaurant is small too, and checked-in guests may have to wait during busy periods.
