Devbagh Beach Resort

There’s enough covered parking, and it’s easy to get to. The rooms are spacious and decent, though you shouldn’t expect five-star luxury. Kids should have a great time on the beach and watching for dolphins. The property has lovely scenery and a private beach where you could easily spend the day. The staff were helpful and polite, as you’d expect at a jungle lodge. Mr Dilkhush led our morning trek and dolphin sighting trip, sharing plenty of interesting information. The food was simple but delicious, and they can arrange snacks, a beach bonfire, and candlelight dinner.

The people made this stay feel so warm and comfortable. Special thanks to Dilraj and PR Nayak for looking after us so well. The food was a real highlight too, with excellent quality and flavors that hit the mark. Devbagh Beach Resort in Karwar sits right by a peaceful beach, which was spotless. It’s a gem of a place.

The beach is clean and right beside the property, and the service was good. One staff member, whose name I don’t know, was especially hospitable and handled both dining and boating activities. The boating trip was well guided, and kayaking was really good. Most other water activities cost extra. The rooms were okay and had good equipment, but at night insects came in from the bathroom. Food was decent. Rain kept us from trying the candlelight dinner on the beach. The place is nice, though I can’t say it justifies the price, which is why I took off a star. We arrived expecting it to be the best beach property from Jungle Lodges, though it was my first experience with them.

We had a really lovely two-night stay. The beach was pristine, the cottages roomy, the food superb, and the staff seemed able to handle everything. There were temporary problems with the AC, fan, and bathroom in our room. They could have been avoided, though perhaps the resort being nearly full played a part. I also think the rates should differ between peak and quieter days.
