Sterling Karwar

The rooms were average in size, decor, and maintenance, with nothing particularly wrong but nothing impressive either. For the price and Sterling name, I expected better upkeep, finishing, and comfort. Breakfast wasn’t included in my package, and I was quoted around ₹550 for a basic breakfast, which felt steep for the spread and property category. I also requested early check-in when booking because I was travelling and wanted to rest on arrival. Despite that, I waited almost 3 hours in the lobby before a room was allotted, with little proactive communication or effort to prioritize the request. When I finally got a room, it still needed cleaning and preparation, delaying me further after a tiring journey. The check-in felt poorly managed and unprofessional for a reputed Sterling property. The hotel has potential, but service issues affected my comfort. Sterling Karwar was an average stay, not terrible, but not as smooth or good value as it should be. Acceptable for a short stay, though service efficiency, check-in, and pricing transparency need improvement. Rated 3/5.

There’s a swimming pool, indoor games, a bicycle, and a restrobar, so it’s an easy place to spend a whole day chilling without going out. The hotel is about 4-5 kms from karwar main land, and it’s best if you have your own transport sorted. There’s no auto or bus stop nearby, and everything is far away if you want to leave the premises.

There was loads of space at the hotel, with a pool, indoor playroom, basketball pitch, and gym. A lifeguard was watching over us, and they provided a frisbee and a 🛟 floating hoop. Loved it. The restaurant had an amazing buffet with all sorts of options, including juices and pav bhaji. The staff were amazing too. For me, this is surely the best restaurant.

What made the place memorable was the warm, attentive service and the way the team put guests first. Karishma and Usha deserve a special mention for their care, courtesy, and attention to detail. You can really feel the hospitality here. Highly recommended!
