The request to leave early was the last straw. I’d checked in late at night for a business trip, but the receptionist asked me to check out early the next morning because another booking was expected. Nobody had mentioned this when I booked. I paid ₹3,600, which didn’t feel worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend the place for a decent, comfortable stay. I chose Fort View Suites after seeing its high rating on a travel portal, but it didn’t seem like the star hotel shown online. It was a few rooms above a small cloth market. My room looked reasonably okay, though the bed linen wasn’t very clean and the AC worked inconsistently. The common areas had a strong foul smell in the morning, almost as if a dead rodent hadn’t been cleared away. Eating there would have been unthinkable, and in any case there’s no restaurant.

Abhinav and Akhil were a big help throughout our stay, and thanks also to watchman Subeer Ji. The room was well maintained, and having a kitchen in the suite for our baby made things comfortable. It was convenient for us to order food too.

The staff were the best part, always humble, smiling, and hospitable. Thanks, Mr. Abhinav, for your service. We travelled as a family with an infant, and the room had plenty of space. There’s no restaurant in the hotel, but you can order Viceroy restaurant food to the room, and the veg food we ordered was good. Breakfast is available on site, with limited choices but decent taste. A good option for business or family travel.

The location made getting around convenient, with the railway station and private bus stand nearby. It’s a little outside the main town, but easy to reach, and there are places to eat within 500 meters. Parking was good too. Inside, Fortview Residency felt luxurious. The rooms were clean, neat, and well kept, with a comfortable bed and a spotless, hygienic washroom. Amenities included a good quality TV, fast Wi-Fi, and a Google voice assistant. Staff were friendly, responsive, and helpful whenever we needed something. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay with great facilities.
