The sunrise and sunset from the balcony were breathtaking, and the place was very clean. It's about 1 km from garkhal chowk, with daily essentials easy to find nearby, from vegetables and snacks to food. The caretaker, Mr. Pradeep, was polite and helpful, and the stay felt like home. Using the kitchen costs 300 rupees per day. A super cute, people friendly cat also visits the property.

Mr. Rana greeted us with a smile and made us really good tea, and our room was neat and tidy. The views outside the room were lovely, and the place was peaceful and close to Garkhal crossroads. The room was a bit expensive because of the weekend rush, and since the owner is a lady, we couldn't manage to bargain. Booking online is much cheaper. Watch out for the slippery entrance stairs if you're with an older person or a child. About 1 km farther down the road, Maanvi serves awesome steamed momos and daal chapaati. We wasted a lot of food around Kasauli because it was either undercooked or tasted bad. This hotel's washroom didn't have that old tank smell, unlike most hotels outside Kasauli, which smelled of moss or fertilizers. The dark yellow balcony tiles make the place look old, but it's still a good place to stay. 4 stars.

It's a nice, quiet option if you're on a tight budget. We paid somewhere around Rs. 700-800. The balcony view in the morning is marvelous, and once school starts you can hear three things: school kids, birds chirping, and psithurism. I'm taking off one star because I didn't like the bathroom.

I came back for a second visit because it’s quiet, set away from the rush, and has such a lovely view. The rooms are really clean, and the setup feels like a one-bedroom flat, with a sitting area for work or meals and a small kitchen with an induction cooktop, pan, and a few dishes. Bring your own supplies and you can cook whatever you like. There’s also plenty of space in the lobby to sit with friends or family. The people here are helpful, and parking is available.
