Ashish is such a lovely person, and the rooftop chillout area is lush too :P

The view is mesmerising, and caretaker Prem was such a kind, welcoming person. His hospitality was incredible, and his cooking is out of this world, definitely try the pizza/ pasta. I stayed alone and found it really peaceful. It’s safe for solo women travellers too. I’d recommend it if you’re young and energetic, whether with friends or on your own. But if you hate walking and want comfort, luxury, and easy access, I’d say don’t book this resort.

I was misled about the location, and getting there with luggage meant a difficult walk along a bad road. The room itself was dirty, the bed sheet filthy, and there was no water or hot water. There wasn’t drinking water or a proper blanket either. Highland Spirit Kasol was a highly unsatisfactory stay with issue after issue.

Prem, the caretaker and chef, did a fantastic job. The meals were delicious, and I think the property owner should give him a raise. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and there’s a terrace area to relax with amazing views. To reach the stay from kasol stop, you’ll need to hike roughly 1.5kms, but the scenery along the way is very good too.
