We had no electricity for our entire stay, and the manager wouldn’t switch on the generator. He wasn’t cooperative or helpful with anything, either. The food was below average. Also, this is in Choj, 2 km from Kasol market, not in the market itself, and a taxi to Kasol costs ₹200/300 per person. Better to choose Moksha Stay, Hosteller, ATC, or Asherwoods stay.

The river around the property was lovely, but that was about the only good part. Getting there was a hassle: Nomad Hostel, Kasol is far from the main area, and the listing didn’t make that clear. I hadn’t researched it enough, so I had to trek from the main road, cross a river bridge, then haul my luggage up lots of stairs. The room was dirty and untidy, with garbage left behind before check-in, and we even saw rats. Housekeeping seemed neglected elsewhere too: breakfast plates were left on the terrace from Day 1 through Day 2. The hostel felt poorly managed and unhygienic, with no vibe at all. I wouldn’t recommend it if cleanliness, comfort, or easy access matter to you.

A relaxed spot with beautiful surroundings and a nice atmosphere for solo travelers. I found it comfortable and a good place to unwind and meet other backpackers.

The terrace view was breathtaking, the rooms were neat, and the staff made us feel welcome. I had a really good time here and would recommend this place whenever you come to Kasol.
