The place is a long, tiring trip from Kasol market. Our room was in poor condition, the power was out most of the time, and the food seemed to be brought in from street vendors and served at the hotel. The staff and owner treated us as if we couldn't afford to pay. A really bad stay.

The Parvati River ran right beside the hotel, and the staff were polite and willing to listen. Unfortunately, both the room and washroom were unclean. The geyser in one of our two rooms didn't work, and one room wasn't the type we'd booked. We chose the place because it advertised WiFi, but that wasn't working either. It was an average stay for us.

We enjoyed the views of both the river and the forest, and there was parking available. Planning a trip after lockdown wasn't easy for us or the hotels, but even with a small staff, they managed to arrange everything well. They really made the trip possible.

At Suma Ropa 99, the rooms were clean and had geysers, and room heaters were available for an extra Rs 250. The hotel is outside Kasol, with a lovely view, good service, and affordable rates. They also bring restaurant orders to your room. I tried the tea and coffee, and both were average.
