OYO 78185 Harma Residency

We were short on time because we had to get dressed and attend a nearby function, so we couldn’t look for another place. We ended up being forced to take a room offline here, paying three times the makemytrip amount. The room was filthy. The bedsheet, pillows, curtains, and floor all stank, and the place was poorly maintained and unhygienic. We were desperate to get out. I was disgusted even sitting on the bed; it looked like a brothel scene from movies. We’d booked through makemytrip, but when we arrived the receptionist immediately said they couldn’t take us because we’d paid online. There’s no option to pay at the property on makemytrip, so what were we supposed to do? If they don’t accept those bookings, why list the property? I could almost let the payment issue go, but the room was awful. If you have a bedsheet, sleep on the footpath instead of booking here. It’s cleaner and safer.

My confirmed OYO booking didn’t get me a room. The receptionist sat there with a couldn’t-care-less attitude and gave no proper answer. I complained to OYO, but customer care said the property manager wasn’t answering their calls. OYO couldn’t help, either, so after nearly three hours looking for somewhere to stay, I had to pay a lot more at another hotel. Think twice before booking here, including through OYO. The response was unbelievably bad.

This was the second time I had a bad experience with OYO, and both times I never got to check in. I was travelling alone for work, and after logging off from the office I went to this place, unaware of the problem. They turned me away because they wanted more money than the lower price shown online. They hadn’t called to verify the stay, and the address listed on MmT wasn’t even correct.

I paid the full 552/- for a room booked on the 16th, for check-in on the 17th and checkout on the 18th. When I arrived on the 17th and showed my booking ID, the receptionist said I still had to pay another 999/-. I was shocked, since I’d been told on the phone that 552/- was the full price. The Oyo app also showed the 999/- as a pending amount. A really awful experience with Oyo.
