I stayed here 3-4 years back, when it was pretty good. This time, the bedding was very uncomfortable, and there weren’t even hand towels, let alone a bathroom mat. The showers hadn’t been serviced and the drainage seemed ignored, like at any 1 star hotel. Staff didn’t seem trained to provide good service, and a lot had changed since my last visit. On the first day we ordered tea and snacks, and instead of telling us high tea was available, they charged almost 500 for butter toast. Avoid ordering food here. The hotel is quite far from the main market and has no complimentary drops or pickups for Yatra. There’s only 1 car, so even if you pay, you may have to wait a long time. Breakfast buffet wasn’t good, just 4 dishes repeated daily, and the bakery food was a waste, I don’t know why they even keep it. Restaurant service was poor too. The manger herself seemed more interested in clearing plates than getting tissues, which we asked staff for 5 times. This is a critical assessment, and I hope the staff read it. I’m done with this hotel, this was my last stay. Another good hotel has sacrificed quality with poor staff and maintenance.

After a tiring Vaishno Devi yatra, Holiday Inn Katra was a calm and comfortable place to recover. Our room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. Ms. Nikita was warm, courteous and always ready to help with a smile, and made everything easy from check-in onward. The service throughout our stay felt thoughtful and genuinely hospitable. The food was fresh, tasty and had great variety. Breakfast was especially good and a lovely way to start the day. The hotel’s peaceful atmosphere was well maintained and felt premium without being intimidating. Its location is convenient for pilgrims visiting Vaishno Devi too. A clean, comfortable and stress-free stay in Katra, with great service. We’d happily return and recommend it. IHG stays are the best.

The mountain view from our well-kept room was lovely, and breakfast had a nice mix of North and South Indian dishes. What really made the stay, though, was the team. Rohit, Roshi, and Rahul at reception were warm and helpful, and Ranjit took good care of us in the restaurant. One of the best star hotels in Katra, in my experience.

The location made getting around easy, with the railway station and Katra market nearby, plus pick-up and drop-off to Banganga and the Helipad for Vaishno Devi darshan. We stayed three nights at Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi. Our room was clean and comfortable, the washroom was well kept, and breakfast had plenty of good options. Ms. Nikita from the restaurant team was especially supportive and looked after us at breakfast. We had a pleasant stay and would recommend it to other visitors to Katra.

The breakfast spread had loads of choice, and our room was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable. The hotel is close to everything, yet nights were quiet. Staff were welcoming, especially parth, who really went out of the way to help. A wonderful stay.
