I stayed at Hotel Krishna, Katra for 3 days and found it comfortable and good value. The staff were polite, helpful and professional throughout. Manager Mr. Sahil Sharma deserves special thanks for being humble and down to earth, and for making sure everything was comfortable and well managed. The hotel is right on the main road near Katra Bus Stand, which made getting around easy. My room was clean, the bathroom hygiene was excellent, and the AC cooled perfectly the whole time. I’d definitely recommend Hotel Krishna, Katra to anyone wanting a budget friendly stay near Vaishno Devi.

The rooms were okay for the price, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, so food options aren’t a problem. The staff were helpful and cooperative. At 3:00 AM, I asked for tea while the in-house restaurant was closed, and they brought it for me from the market without charging extra. The hotel is right in the center of the main market, close to the bus stand, and the RFID card center is within walking distance.

There’s a lot close by, including autos, buses and the market, and the RFID collecting office is only about a 100 metre walk away. It’s a very convenient place to stay in Katra for a visit to Ma Vaishno Devi. The one drawback is there’s no hot water for evening baths. I brought an immersion heating rod, which helped a lot. Book online for the best prices.

The restaurant food tastes good, and the hotel has a great mountain view of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. It’s in the best location in Katra, about 50 metres from Yatra Parchi counter and close to Niharika complex and Main Bazar, Katra.

Everything is close, just a 2 minute walk, since the hotel is right in the centre of the market. The staff were supportive and it’s a good place to stay. But the beds hadn’t been cleaned properly. When we arrived and checked, there was hair under the quilt and on the bed.
