I booked a room at Hotel Vivek in Katra the same day I visited Vaishno Devi two months ago. I left for Mata’s Bhawan about an hour later and came back the next day. When we returned to Katra, I called for a pickup, but the staff member arrived late and made us walk a lot, repeatedly telling us to come this way. Back at the hotel, the receptionist rudely insisted on advance payment, and the room was dirty. My family and I left, and this was the worst experience I've had. Based on what happened, I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here.

The rooms and washrooms were clean, and the hotel is out of the rush, so there was no traffic or other noise. Pickup and drop-off service was good too. First class service overall.

My first visit to Vaishno Devi after getting married left me with so many bad memories because of this hotel. I'll tell anyone to stay away. Room service, staff behavior, and hotel transport were all zero. Apart from the lights and fans, the other things in the room seemed to be for show: the TV, phone, dustbin, and even the sockets didn't work. When we came down after the climb, their car didn't pick us up, despite having promised pickup and drop-off from Veshno Devi. Then they refused to give us the room again, even though the car was for the next time. We only needed to freshen up and pack our things, and we'd already agreed to use the room for that before leaving with our luggage. They said they'd put us in another hotel, but we'd have to pay. They wouldn't let us use the room even for extra money, and started arguing with my husband.

Very good service and nice staff. Pickup and drop-off were great, and the room was very clean. Best budget hotel in Katra if you're looking for a place to stay.
