Raga Residency

The large parking area was a real convenience, with plenty of room for cars. The hotel is easy to reach in the center of town near Puthiyidom Park Junction, whether you come by train or bus. In the room, the AC, TV, and hot water all worked; the interiors are simple but decent, and the bed, fresh sheets, and bathroom were clean and well kept. The room itself was neat and comfortable, as you'd expect from a good mid-range stay. Staff were polite and friendly, check-in was quick, and room service came promptly when I called. They also helped with directions and local travel tips. I ate breakfast and dinner at the small in-house restaurant, and both meals were tasty, freshly prepared, and reasonably priced. Raga Residency is a clean, comfortable, well-managed place to stay in Kayamkulam without spending too much. The parking, service, and cleanliness stood out for me. I'd recommend it to families, business travelers, or people passing through, and I'd stay again on my next visit.

We paid the full ₹1,916 online through Make my trip for a two-day stay, Dec-3rd-Dec-5th. When we arrived, the receptionist said the property had cancelled the booking because the price was too low, without telling us beforehand. I couldn't believe a hotel could cancel a prepaid booking like that, and it felt like a scam. We had to leave and spend time fighting with Make my trip customer support for a refund. Raga Residency's staff didn't seem customer friendly either. I'm completely disappointed, and the whole thing wasted a lot of my time. I strongly advise against booking here.

Really bad experience, with poor hospitality and service. The reception staff behaved rudely and didn't communicate properly.

I've never had service this filthy or pathetic. They give new guests toilets that have already been used, which is completely unacceptable. The room service staff's behavior wasn't good either.
