Hostel Mantra

Mantra had a peaceful feel, with clean rooms and a lovely atmosphere for relaxing. The staff were helpful and polite throughout, and the service went smoothly. Food and amenities were good too. I had a comfortable, pleasant stay, and would recommend it for a budget-friendly short getaway with friends or family.

The shared facilities were decent, and the kitchen was quite good. Breakfast was free in the morning, with bread, butter, jam, banana, eggs, milk, and corn flakes. Wi-Fi worked well. Tra was wonderful company for humans, calm, quiet, and distinctive, and didn’t bother anyone. There’s four-wheeler parking about a two-minute walk away, and it seemed safe with so many cars parked there. The storage deck needs a lock, which you have to bring, so leaving valuables on the bed may not be the wisest choice, though the place felt safe overall. The rooms themselves were good, but sharing one washroom among 4-6 people can be hard. Getting ready in the morning with perfume affects everyone in the room, and there’s not much personal space. Movement on the upper or lower bunks can disturb your sleep. Pillows and sheets also need regular cleaning to prevent unwanted smells.

We met lots of people and made some amazing connections during our four days. Priti deserves a special mention for the karaoke nights and making everyone feel comfortable. The rooms were clean and smelled nice, though the common areas could use some work. Loved the stay, and I’d recommend it.

I felt safe and comfortable there as a woman traveling alone, which says a lot about the welcoming, secure atmosphere. The receptionist, Priti, was kind, cooperative, and professional, and her warm, respectful manner made the stay feel easy. I had a wonderful experience and would recommend the property, especially to solo women travelers looking for somewhere welcoming and safe.
