Hotel Sion Fort

Getting to Sion fort is the main drawback. It's tucked beneath a street in Sion east, where traffic is usually light. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and have modern bathroom fittings. Room service is quick, and you can order hot coffee in your room or have a freshly made breakfast on demand.

The staff were okay, and at least the rooms were clean, but the place is tiny and the rooms are much smaller than the Google photos suggest. We only needed somewhere to leave our luggage and freshen up before a night train, and even that was a hassle. There's no kitchen, so food comes from outside and there's no way to know how hygienic it is. Since I told the owner we wouldn't stay all night, he accepted another booking for our room and kept telling us to leave for the station three hours before our train. It got annoying, especially since we'd paid for the whole night. We also lost a key card and were charged 500/-, which felt horrible given the full-night payment and the other booking for our room. Avoid if you can.
