Yogi Ashram Guest House

We chose Yogi Ashram Guest House in December 2024 after being swayed by its reviews, which turned out to be false. More than pathetic. Parking was tight: we were lucky to get a spot inside, but there was room for only four vehicles, so any more had to park out on the main road. The restaurant was awful too. We ordered paneer gravy, but they had no paneer and took 1.5 hours to buy some at the market and cook it. The taste was awkward and not worth that wait. Our room was dirty and hadn't been cleaned, and it needs maintenance. There was no hot water, and both the bathroom and balcony locks were broken. The owner said they don't offer room service. When we had a room problem, we had to carry our luggage from the first floor to the ground floor because there is no lift. The support staff were very rude, and so was the manager.

The rooms at Yogi Ashram Guest House are beautiful and really affordable, and it's a peaceful break from city noise. What made the biggest difference was the management. I've stayed at loads of hotels around the country, and I've never experienced hospitality like this. If you're heading to Khajuraho, I strongly recommend staying here. You can thank me later.

The surroundings outside are lovely, and the people are good, but the guest house needs to improve its kitchen and service. The kitchen seemed unhygienic, service was poor, and breakfast choices were very limited. Room rates are low, but food is extremely expensive, for example ₹50 for a cup of tea. It feels like a Dharmshala. Massage prices start at ₹1000. The rooms are basic, with smelly blankets, poor toiletries, too few towels, leaking washrooms, and inadequate maintenance.

For the reasonable price, the rooms are good enough. Since it's a guest house, though, there's no room service or anything like that. Just two multitasking guys handle everything, from bell boy and cleaner to kitchen chef 🤣🤣. The kitchen and parking could use improvement. I'd still stay here again.
