Elphinstone is a good spot to unwind and enjoy Fort Kochi. The rooms are simple, with a traditional feel, and friendly support staff helped make the stay pleasant. If you've got money to spend, it's an excellent choice. Oceanos restaurant is right next door, with fresh seafood and a strong Portuguese influence on the menu. The grilled chicken is a must-try.

The room charge was 1200, but we were billed 3900, which felt steep and made no sense to us. While we were out, someone entered our room to take the batteries from the AC remote, which was really creepy. I didn't like the rooms: they were stuffy and had lots of mosquitoes. The staff were polite, but didn't seem very experienced.

We had an unpleasant stay. The property was in poor condition, the rooms were low quality and the breakfast was bad. There were insects in our bathroom. The staff were quite helpful, though.

A distinctive property in a prime spot in Kochi fort, with large, unusual rooms. The WiFi was especially good. Check whether breakfast is included. Recommended.

Polite staff and management, with a clean place, affordable price and a nice ambience. The lack of parking was a letdown. The AC in our room didn't work, so we had to change rooms.
