The host was polite and friendly, and the location is lovely and very close to the beach. We had a good stay, but there were a few things missing: no TV in the room, no shampoo or handwash, and we had trouble getting hot water in the shower. Breakfast choices could be better, and it would help to have a restaurant on site or tea available through the day.
Waking up to a wide sea view from the bed and the attached balcony was lovely. The area is quiet, with gentle waves and romantic backwaters, and there are restaurants and small stores from 200 m to 2.5 km away. Riding towards Kochi through the backwaters at sunrise was another real pleasure. The cottage was so comfortable for an overnight stay, like Grandma's country house. It was spotless and tidy, with fresh linen, white towels, a kettle, hot water, and tea, coffee, water, and sugar, plus all the facilities we needed.
The host was very responsive, and the shared dining room on the top floor has great views. Our room and bathroom were clean, and we could see the beach from the room. It's a good place for a couple of days away from the bustle of Cochin city, and very close to the beach.
The ground floor room was clean and tidy, but the bed wasn't comfortable. The location and upstairs balcony are nice, though the price is high.
The host was amazing and made us feel very welcome. It's a good place to stay with a great ambience, and I'd visit again.
