Sea Lagoon Health Resort

I'm writing to express how extremely dissatisfied I was with my recent stay at Sea Lagoon health resort. I expected a high level of comfort and service, but the experience fell far short. The air conditioning in the room didn't work, even after I asked the front office several times to fix it. The Aircon noise was unbearable and made sleeping impossible. There were also other issues at check-in that made the stay uncomfortable. The restaurant by the swiming pool was just as disappointing. The meal we ordered that evening arrived cold and didn't taste fresh. We waited over 1 hour for our orders, and the staff seemed unconcerned when we raised the problems. When we asked for a manager, we were told no one was available. The next afternun, I spoke with someone named Chinnu, though I can't quite remember her name. While I explained everything, she seemed to consider it all normal there. Her expression made it seem like she was laughing at what I said, and I could barely understand the English she was using. A girl in the lobby didn't make eye contact or reply when we asked her something. We felt insulted as guests. A horrible experience!!!!!!

The traditional Kerala-style architecture gives SeaLagoon Resort at Cherai a lot of charm, and the spacious rooms were comfortable. It was lovely to watch the sunrise over the backwaters, then take an evening walk to nearby Cherai Beach. The resort brings the backwaters and beach together in one place, with stunning views, a peaceful atmosphere, and a well-maintained swimming pool that fits the surroundings beautifully. The food was tasty, with a good mix of local and international dishes. Staff were courteous and helpful throughout. A wonderful getaway for a relaxing family holiday or a peaceful weekend escape.

Hospitality: 5/5. Room and ambience: 3/5. Location: 5/5. We stayed for 2 nights with 3 family and enjoyed it thoroughly. The resort's location is really great, with a private beach area and backwater area. The backwater area has an infinity look alike pool, though the water was salty. The villas beside the swimming pool are really worth it. There's an attached restaurant and bar. The food's taste and quality are good, though sometimes delivery takes several minutes. Checkout, billing, and preparation took almost more than 45 mins, the one thing that needs attention. Rest of all great. Highly recommend it in the cherai beach area. Attaching photos and videos.

The rooms and atmosphere were average, but the biggest problem was the glass scattered outside our door, room 103, and on the front steps. We had booked three rooms. My 8-year-old daughter stepped on a shard and started bleeding. I thought it was a sharp stone and rinsed her wound, then I stepped on another piece and my foot bled heavily. Only after that did I look closely and spot more glass around the entrance. That is a serious safety failure, especially with children around. We told the staff, who brought cleaning tools and a first aid kit and picked up the pieces we pointed out. That showed the area had not been properly checked before guests were given the room. Restaurant and room service were painfully slow, with every delay blamed on staff shortages. The staff were polite and seemed to be trying, but management did not seem able to run the place well. At checkout, when I asked how my daughter and I had both been injured because of this negligence, management talked among themselves and offered a free lime juice as compensation. It felt like a joke. There was no proper apology, accountability, or concern for our safety. We left without making a scene. Anyone considering a stay, especially families with children, should think carefully. If the entrance to a room is not safe, what are guests paying for? Bring a proper first aid kit, because guest safety and emergency readiness did not seem to be priorities. Anything could happen. This was the worst resort experience I've had. We stayed one night at Sealagoon Health Resort, Cherai, on the 8th of this month for a family trip. It turned out to be one of the most irresponsible and disappointing experiences we've had.
