Zostel Kolad

We were lucky to have soothing live music before dinner, and the food was tasty too. The Zostel stay felt unique and brought back memories of hostel days. My family loved the activities, especially bungee jumping, which was thrilling for a first timer, along with the bumper ride and spinner, particularly for Gen Z. River rafting was adventurous, though you need to start early and plan properly to get the full benefit of the rapids on the Kundalika river. A memorable experience for people who enjoy nature and thrills.

The dorm and washrooms were clean, the game room was nice, and we enjoyed the pool and nighttime live music. A snooker table would be a welcome addition. The drinks selection was only beers, so adding breezers could give people more variety. One thing went badly: we were playing our own music on the available boom box when one of the staff came over and yanked out the cable without explaining why. We found out later there was going to be a live session. A quick heads-up and request to stop our music would have felt much better. Still, it’s good value, with chilled-out vibes and nice amenities, and I’d recommend staying here.

The place had a nice vibe, and the accommodation was comfortable, so that part of my stay was quite good. The food let it down, though. It seemed too oily, and the chicken didn’t seem fresh, which affected the experience. I hope management improves the food quality and freshness. In the end, it was average, and I wasn’t fully satisfied.

It’s spotless, and the staff are warm, polite and full of positive energy. The head of the property deserves a special mention for personally checking in with guests and making sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for. There are sports and activities too if you want some adventure. The best part is crossing the river to get here. It’s a secluded spot that’s great for finding some quiet and spending real time with yourself or a close friend. The riverside feels like your own private place, somewhere to sit anytime and soak up the calm. A lovely balance of peace and fun.
