Treebo Balaji Residency

Parking was a real convenience for us, and the meals were tasty and filling, both breakfast and dinner. Balaji Residency also has a handy location near the famous Mahalaxmi Temple. Our room was clean and in good shape, and the staff were polite, attentive, and quick to help. I had a very good, comfortable stay here and would consider it a reliable choice in Kolhapur, especially for a temple visit.

We got around easily from Treebo Balaji Residency, with Devi Ambabai Temple, New Palace, DYP City Mall, Rankala Lake and several good hotels nearby. There’s also a rikshaw stand right below, and the uncle looking after parking was really sweet and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The parking area was extremely crowded, though the staff did their best to help. Service in the room was poor: nobody cleaned it during our two-night stay, and although I booked for two people, we got just one water bottle. It wasn’t replaced on day two either. For 3k over two nights, it felt like staying in a dorm. I’d give Treebo Balaji Residency a 7.5/10.

The rooftop breakfast had a decent selection and quality, and food and drinks could be arranged for the rest of the day. Car parking is available here, which I didn’t find at the other lodges in the area. The rooms are large, nicely furnished, regularly cleaned, and have plenty of TV channels. My otherwise pleasant stay was spoiled by a very loud DJ at a street wedding nearby. The hotel itself was decent, but the noise around it was hard to ignore.

We left feeling shocked and deeply distressed. A member of the hotel staff behaved in a highly inappropriate way toward a child in our family, leaving us with serious concerns about guest safety, particularly for children. What should have been a relaxing family stay became traumatic. The management’s failure to provide a safe environment is unacceptable, and having someone like this on staff raises serious questions about screening, supervision, and accountability. No family should have to worry about a child’s safety at a hotel. Based on what happened to us, I strongly advise families with children to stay elsewhere.
