Bh Boutique Hotel

The outside looks modest, but our experience at this little Newtown gem was better than expected. The staff are friendly and well behaved, and often go out of their way to help. Those little gestures mean a lot, even if they aren’t the sort of thing you’d call ‘star’ room service. The owner is accommodating and well behaved too; after a few stays, you start to feel like he’s an old friend. The rooms are clean, tidy, and quite spacious, and the washrooms are extremely clean. All of that for a great price. I’d definitely come back and would urge others to give it a try.

The staff were well behaved, and the location was good and very quiet. My room was spacious and decent, though it needed some cleaning. There were papers and an old laptop with a keyboard in the cupboard, and the tables were old and dusty. The TV didn’t work, and the faucet had issues too. Even with those problems, I had a good experience overall.

The staff are the reason I’m giving four stars. Mr. Chakraborty and his colleagues were courteous and accommodating, and they try to make up for the other shortcomings. The place is cheap, but it needs repairs and refurbishment, new linen, and proper housekeeping. The rooms are another story. The door locks don’t feel secure, the mattresses are terrible, and the sheets and comforters were dirty. There was no packaged drinking water or AC remote, and the balcony was dirty. The beds are two twin beds pushed together with separate mattresses, which felt more like foam, so sleeping on them was difficult. Couples can feel comfortable and assured about safety and security. Book directly instead of through portals for better rates.

I felt like a valued guest the whole time, and would definitely recommend BH Boutique Hotel to anyone looking for an enjoyable, memorable stay. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the New Town location was convenient.
