Fabhotel Carnival

The location near New Town Bus Stand is really convenient. My room was good on the first day, though the lower floors have a mosquito problem. They do provide a Good Night repellent machine, so it may be manageable if you can tolerate the mosquitoes. Otherwise, ask for a higher floor.

The room itself was fine, but dealing with the reception staff and attendant made this a very disappointing stay. We arrived around 1:00 AM, and the receptionist argued loudly with us over an OTP, saying the mobile number on his system was wrong even though I had given the correct number used for the booking. It seemed like a technical glitch, but he didn't explain why the OTP was needed. Instead, he threatened to cancel our check-in and said he might ask us to leave. He also bragged about how many hotels he administers. We had problems getting basic things, too. At about 10 PM the night before checkout, we asked for drinking water. The attendant first said he couldn't come to the 4th floor despite the lift working, then said water couldn't be provided at that time, and later claimed he wasn't even at the hotel. Other helpers were clearly on the ground floor. On checkout morning I asked for tea and was told “no” bluntly. An hour later, he called back to ask if I still wanted it. No complimentary offers were mentioned, and the bathroom had leakage issues. This was very poor customer service, and if it continues, people may stop choosing the property even if the rooms are good. I hope management takes this feedback seriously.

Everything else was good, but the manager's behavior left me extremely disappointed. After paying that much, I was made to follow his terms, which isn't acceptable. Please be careful when selecting this hotel and have a counselling session with the manager, or your reputation as a service provider could suffer badly.

The place was clean and well looked after, and I had a comfortable stay at Fabhotels Carnival. The staff were friendly and the service was good. Its location is excellent, too. I'd definitely recommend it for a safe, clean, affordable stay.
