Fabhotel Jalan

The room itself was in poor shape: no hot or drinking water, no complimentary soap, a weak AC, smelly sheets and mattress, and a blocked, unhygienic bathroom. Finding Hotel Jalan Lake View was difficult without a local person, since it's in a remote spot. I had booked two rooms, but the receptionist first refused the booking, saying the hotel wasn't listed online and wouldn't honor online rates that hadn't been revised. After checking by phone with someone else, he agreed to give us rooms only if we paid another Rs 1500/-. With my family there and the booking already paid by credit card, I felt I had no choice, since finding another hotel would mean starting over and risking the money I'd spent. It was a total waste.

The location and the view are great. I've become a regular, love the place.

The staff are always helpful and excellent in how they treat people.

There was a large FIELD RAT in the room they gave me, and the roof was broken, with rainwater leaking in, almost flooding the room. I came with my wife because I needed treatment at a nearby nursing home. At reception they charged me extra even though I'd booked through the OYO app. There didn't seem to be proper staff, and people openly drank at night. No security, it felt like a haunted house. They even nagged us to give five stars. Worst, pathetic, disgusting experience. They're fraud and disgusting. Please read this and decide, never go there.
