Fabhotel Kzar Select

I stayed for three days and came away satisfied. Check-in and booking were smooth, and the staff were kind and understanding. The rooms were neat and had good ventilation, and the restroom was well maintained. The hotel can arrange meals for a charge, and I really liked the homemade taste. It’s also close to VAC, the US consulate, and New Market (Hoog Market).

They cancelled my booking on the day I was due to arrive, just a few hours beforehand and without warning. I’d paid for a premium hotel, but they moved me to a much lower-grade property instead. I tried reaching them about changing rooms or getting a refund, but they ignored my calls and never replied. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend booking with them.

We arrived around 10:30 PM in heavy rain with my parents and sister, so it wasn’t practical to make an issue right then. But the problems were serious. The room and bathroom had visible fitting and upkeep issues, and the food was oily, dry, smelly, tasteless, and not something we felt comfortable eating. Outside food isn’t allowed either, leaving guests with no other option. Staff were unprofessional and offered little assistance. Even at checkout, nobody helped load our luggage into the car, which seems like a basic hotel service. The property is advertised as a 3-star hotel, but the actual standard fell far short. It’s overrated for its rating and price, and I wouldn’t recommend it to families.

The location is convenient, close to most places, and the staff were helpful. My room had broken tiles that looked like they might need major repairs. I was only there for one night during a layover, but it could have been a better stay. I hope they address the room issue.
