Fabhotel The Eden Ruby

The staff behavior made this booking, which I made through fab hotels, a dreadful experience from the start. At the front desk I was met with blank stares and indifference, as if my presence was an inconvenience. Even though I’d reserved weeks earlier, they seemed to have no clue about my booking. After a long wait I finally got the room key, but the room was in disarray, with unmade beds and towels on the floor. When I reported it, the front desk gave me a shrug and a halfhearted apology. I also saw a heated argument between another guest and a staff member, who showed very little professionalism or courtesy. It seemed the employees cared little about guest satisfaction or making people feel welcome. This stay was a nightmare, and the customer service was a disgrace. If you want a pleasant stay, I strongly advise looking elsewhere.

The location is very good, but I’d still avoid this hotel. The bed linen and bathroom towels at Fab Ruby Eden were stained and clearly unwashed. When I asked for replacements, the fresh set they brought also seemed unwashed. There’s no room intercom, and the men at reception during the day were neither polite nor courteous. One of the worst Fab group hotels I’ve stayed at.

The location was good, but the room was in very poor shape, with dirty curtains, floors, and bedsheets, plus lots of mosquitoes. There wasn’t even a water kettle or mosquito repellent, which I consider basic necessities. Breakfast also arrived an hour later than promised.

The cramped layout made me uncomfortable as soon as I arrived. There isn’t enough room for two people to walk side by side, and the rooms were dirty. There was also a damp, awful smell around the floors, like something was dying. I wouldn’t recommend any Fabhotel to a woman travelling alone. The brand has really hit a new low.
