The room was nice, the service was great, and Kalighat temple is about a 10-minute walk away. The only thing I didn’t like was being asked for a tip at the end. They didn’t pressure me, but the pitying look made it awkward. Still, it’s okay, that sort of thing happens.

The room was just moderate. The TV was basically a showpiece because none of the channels had been recharged. When I asked the receptionist about it, they replied rudely that they couldn’t provide a recharge and that for just Rs 1200/- I’d only get a room. At that price, I guess you shouldn’t expect much.

I paid the full amount in advance on 3 February 2026 for a one-night booking at FabHotel The Golden Orchids, Kolkata, for 6th February to 7th February 2026. I have the payment receipt. Even so, the confirmed booking was cancelled without my permission. I didn’t request the cancellation, and nobody contacted me about any problem that might have led to it. This caused a lot of inconvenience. Since I paid in full on time and acted in good faith, I’m requesting an immediate refund. Please confirm whether it’s being processed and when I can expect it.

The manager was very polite, and the rest of the staff were really good too. I had an amazing stay.

A good spot for couples who want to stay near ma kali temple. They serve food and are very polite about helping with local information.
