OYO 6644 Rittika Mansion

I believe this place is a fraud. My room booking was for 11 am, but my train was late because of foggy weather, so I asked the person in charge if we could wait there until 11 AM. He said the hotel had no reception and wouldn’t even open the door. When we asked about rooms, he first said we could stay if we paid 300 RS. more, then backed out. He kept saying there were no rooms, then calling back to say rooms were available at higher fares than usual. It felt like he was playing games with us over money, and he behaved very badly. I wouldn’t recommend booking here.

The room was neat and clean, with wooden flooring and nicely decorated walls. The staff were polite and helpful, and I had a very good stay. The amenities seem limited compared with other hotels with the same ratings.

The hotel looks satisfactory at first, but it has countless operational problems, and I was disappointed with the service. I felt embarrassed in front of my guests. There are four floors and no lift, and the stairs are hard to climb even for young people, let alone senior citizens. You have to ask staff for towels and a sanitary kit, and the towels stink. Staff are very limited, so tea requested in the morning may not arrive until afternoon, and one tea costs Res 40. Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned whenever staff feel like it. This hotel doesn’t meet oyo standards.

We stayed with our family from 14th march to 19 march, 17. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, the location was very good, and the gentry was excellent. Staff were helpful overall, with especially polite and sober reception staff. Breakfast was very tasty, and the rent was reasonable. All the best ritika, this is a place one must stay when visiting Kolkata.
