OYO 6736 Sima Inn Guest House

I’ve stayed here many times. During the pandemic it wasn’t running at its full potential, but the limited staff were trying hard. I hoped things would improve afterward. It was a good one-night option, though food had to be arranged on your own. I visited again, and the guest house was operating at its best, with all the related services in place. It felt like home, and the staff were always ready to help. A good place to stay amid the bustle of the city. Keep it up.

I only stayed seven hours, but they made me feel like family. Amit Bhattacharya, the owner, is a gem and really focused on guests. My flight landed at 4am, and the staff welcomed me with a smile at 5am. The caretaker boys brought tea, and when I wasn’t sleepy they turned on the TV. I asked if that would disturb them, and they said the customer comes first. The room was amazing for 1500 a night in Salt Lake City, especially compared with nearby hotels charging 5000 to 7000. It had a huge bathroom, a living room, and a gallery, with privacy assured. If I hadn’t booked my return flight, I wouldn’t have left. A must-go hotel.

#harsh #unprofessional #uncultured After a long, exhausting day, I arrived to find that the staff or owner wouldn’t give me a room, even though I already had an online booking. The reception staff were extremely unprofessional. They told me to contact the booking platform’s customer care and wouldn’t even look at my proof of booking. They also couldn’t explain why they were turning me away.

It’s a residential building with five rooms, not really a hotel. The staff were okay, and homemade food was available. The room was on the terrace, the bathroom leaked, and there was no phone. It mostly meets OYO standards. Nothing special, but alright for 900 bucks.
