Fabhotel White House I

The room wasn't cleaned for three days, the shower leaked, and there were cockroaches. The hotel didn't even have a basic first-aid box. Then at checkout, we were told to leave at 11 even though our breakfast arrived at 10, and they wouldn't let us eat it. A terrible and disappointing stay.

Hotel White House made my stay in Kolkata feel like a home away from home. The staff were polite and helpful, and I felt comfortable throughout. They were always ready to assist with a smile and responded quickly. My room was clean, well maintained, and had the basic amenities I needed. The location was convenient for nearby transport and markets. I'd recommend it to people visiting Kolkata for business or leisure.

We had to keep reminding the staff to clean the rooms, and the rooms weren't up to standard. The lift didn't work properly and staff were often unavailable. They also kept disturbing us about checkout each day, even though we had booked for a couple of days. They charged an extra 500 rupees for checking in an hour early, and spoke very rudely. Because we had booked online, we were given the worst rooms they could find, even though rooms were empty. After we extended our stay by a day and checked out one room, the staff missed collecting the remaining 50 rupees. We had kept one room, but they made an issue of it and bothered us from every direction.

The rooms were clean and hygienic, and the staff service was very good. I had a very good stay here. I'd recommend it to family and friends.
