We had to beg for even basic service. The sheets, pillows, and blanket were dirty, and both the room and bathroom had smells, stains, and dust everywhere. The hotel was nothing like the photos we were shown. Scam.

We were left standing outside for hours in the heat, even though we'd arrived at check-in time and had booked at the amount shown in the app. They demanded double the price to let us in. When we questioned it, we got disrespect and were told to contact OYO because the hotel knew nothing. We spent hours trying to reach the supposedly hassle-free customer support. After hearing our explanation, agents put us on hold for two or three minutes and never came back. No call back, apology email, or consideration. The hotels wouldn't cancel, so we had to cancel ourselves, then got charged for it. Days later, when we finally had the energy to book OYO again, the same thing happened repeatedly in Kolkata too. The people there acted like thugs, saying we could complain wherever we wanted, nobody could do anything, and it was their hotel, while OYO would handle it. This happened multiple times, not just once or twice. Please look at my post and comments and respond. We have booking IDs and plenty of other proof that we weren't at fault. I don't really expect OYO to reply, but I wanted to point out that this is becoming a pattern at hotels listed with OYO. I'm sure many people have faced it. I hope someone in OYO authority sees this and does something.

It can take hours before anyone comes to open the gate.

It's tucked away from the city's bustle, so getting there is easier if you have your own transport. They take Oyo and Brevistay bookings, and couples can stay with valid ID cards. There's an in-house meal option, though I didn't try it. Call the owner before heading over.
