Hotel O by OYO Palace Inn

Check-in was a problem from the start. We’d paid the hotel bill online, but they wanted an extra 1000 per day and said they didn’t offer rooms at that price or care about MMT. The attendant said they were linked only to OYO, not MMT. I had a patient with me and had to wait 45 minutes to an hour. MMT customer care helped a lot through the whole process. They gave us a room as they pleased, and it wasn’t suitable for three people. The bathroom was too small to bathe in, the toilet was cramped, and we couldn’t even bathe. The washroom was dirty and unhygienic, the mug and bucket were filthy, there was no basin, and water was scarce every time. They also charged more than the price listed on their menu. The online booking policy said outside food was allowed, but they refused. The hotel authority was very rude and told me they generally prefer renting rooms by the hour. This was the worst experience I’ve had.

I booked a room for my family through OYO, but on arrival they showed me a single room. For another room, they wanted three times the price. Outside food wasn’t allowed, and they charged 15 rs per roti and 200 for ordinary vegetable curry. How does OYO let them be a partner?

I booked and paid online, but when we arrived the attendants refused to give us the room, argued with us, and demanded another 300. It was 11:30 at night, and after being made to feel helpless, we agreed to pay so we could check in. Then the room was another shock. It was 10'×10' and had none of the amenities the OYO helpline had promised: no AC, TV, Wi-Fi, basin, soap, or anything. We paid around 1500 for a room that didn’t meet even 300-room standards. Afterward, hotel employees said OYO hadn’t confirmed the booking with them directly and that the company’s payments to them were delayed, so they charged extra. I also think OYO was at fault. When I tried calling its helpline, they gave me different numbers each time and told me to contact those instead of registering my complaint. I won’t use OYO or pay online through the app again. I’d recommend choosing “pay at hotel” when booking any room through OYO.

They showed us a price of 600 taka and then charged 1500. The behavior was third class, and the whole experience was awful. The rooms are nothing like the pictures, especially considering how expensive the hotel is. First time I’ve ever had such a bad experience. 😡 I’d tell people to stay away. 😡😡
