I stayed at Hotel Orchid Inn in April 2024. It’s a male-only place, which worked for me, and the dorm setup was clean and well organized. The beds have AC, and staff were helpful throughout. For the price, it’s good value. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it.
For solo male travelers or guys with friends, this is one of the cheapest and best places to spend a night. It’s really a dormitory, not a hotel. A bed is 600 per night, with check-in available anytime and checkout at 10 in the morning. The bed was well cushioned and the toilets were clean.
The other guests were decent, but the staff made a racket, so don’t expect quiet in the dormitory. When I complained at reception, I was told the TV would be on until 11 PM. Pathetic.
This is just a dormitory. Each bed has a wooden box underneath where you can keep your bag, but bring your own lock for security. The beds are all air-conditioned, and the shared bathrooms are very clean.
There are too many beds packed into one room, so it can get noisy. Still, the beds are clean and the interior is very good. I paid 400 RS, which felt too high. At under 350/-RS, it would be better value.
