I felt cheated by what I paid for a stay at Hotel Q INN, Kolkata, booked through MakeMyTrip. The price was much higher than the place was worth, and I expected a decent, hygienic room. Instead, it was a miserable experience. The MMT photos are misleading, and the bedsheets were stained, as if they hadn't been changed in weeks. The pillows smelled damp, and the room was in poor shape, with mold or seepage on the walls, chipped furniture, and electrical sockets hanging out of the wall, which felt unsafe. The bathroom floor was greasy and had a constant foul smell. It felt more like a public toilet than a hotel bathroom. This feels like a budget guest house being presented as a hotel, and travelers booking through platforms like MakeMyTrip are being exploited. Don't be fooled by the price or filtered photos. Save yourself the hassle and book somewhere else in Kolkata.

I stayed for 13 days and had a wonderful time. All the staff were helpful and polite. Special mention to Rohit at reception, who was very helpful and polite, and to the ma'am there as well. A nice stay.

Room service was available any time, and the staff were excellent from the welcome through check-out. Everything else was fine, though the room and washroom were quite small.

The room was in awful shape: torn bedsheets, discolored walls covered in fungus, and a horrible smell throughout. The bathroom was very unhygienic and didn't seem properly cleaned. Even the lift wasn't working as it should, which made the stay stressful. At check-in, the staff were extremely rude and unwelcoming. We had an emergency and urgently needed the bathroom, but the receptionist refused to let us in and spoke disrespectfully. I also noticed he treated other guests differently from us. My family and I had one of our worst hotel experiences. The place fell short on hospitality, cleanliness, and basic manners, and ruined our holiday. I'd strongly advise others to avoid it. If I could, I'd give negative stars.
