We came to Kolkata for my sister's wedding and picked Hyatt Regency Saltlake sector 3 because it was close to the venue. Mr.Vivek from coincierge helped us select room 540. It was huge, with a living room, wide windows, a spacious bedroom, and a wash room. Since we booked a higher category, we got complimentary drinks, mocktails, and snacks from 6pm to 8pm each evening. The spread was quite good. We had two complimentary breakfasts during our two-day stay at Waterside cafe. There were plenty of options, every item was good, and the Chef came around to ask each table how the food was. One odd thing was being charged 700rs for a bottle of water at breakfast. In all the other 5star hotels I've stayed at, that hadn't happened. Staff should ask whether guests want water first. We tried mocktails and snacks at The Bar, and they were superb. I also booked a sari drape at the Salon section, and lady Rummu did it beautifully. I didn't like that it was done in the ladies locker area, though. They should have a separate room or use the makeup room. We loved the stay overall.

We had a lovely stay at Hyatt Regency Kolkata. The property was comfortable and service ran smoothly. Prince from Riverside Café deserves a mention for taking care of our needs when the main venue wasn't open. Kuntal, the restaurant manager, also worked hard to make sure everything was right. Sameer in the bar brought great energy and made sure my friends and I had a good time. Marful, Anusri, Arup, Sofia, Kuljit, Jamir, Sandipan, and Aloke were also part of a warm, professional team. Great hotel and great people, highly recommended.

I really liked the ambience, food, and hospitality here. The a la carte menu only has certain dishes, but the quality and flavor are top-notch and very savory. This would be a good choice for a birthday or anniversary. Check Zomato and Swiggy for dining offers, and try visiting in the afternoon for a nice view of the Waterside Cafe.

The hotel felt calm and welcoming, with a sophisticated atmosphere that balanced luxury and relaxation. My room was spacious, beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable, with thoughtful details throughout. Housekeeping kept it pristine during my stay. Staff were courteous, professional, and attentive, which made everything easy and comfortable. The experience exceeded my expectations, and I'd happily return. I recommend Hyatt Regency Kolkata to travelers looking for this kind of stay.

The setting and location were nice, but the meal at our office party fell well below what I'd expect from a high-star hotel, even worse than street food. The mutton biryani was bland, and we were served only rice with no pieces of mutton. I don't know whether this was the hotel's fault or whether the office had made some prior arrangement to cut costs.
