Since the original resort was under construction, we stayed in the nirvana building. At the reduced price, the experience was okay, though neither excellent nor terrible. The location is great, and the grounds are beautiful. The staff were helpful, but there weren't enough of them. Many seemed unsure about things and sent us back to the same person. The resort feels like it's just trying to stay afloat with minimal spending, rather than giving guests the best experience. Our room had a damp, old smell, and the rooms seemed old and poorly maintained. The ACs were broken, and our TV didn't work despite repeated attempts to fix it. They moved us, but the other room had the same issues. Wi-Fi was unreliable. Food was just okay, and took so long that I'd order at least 45 minutes ahead. Activities have been cut back. Boating was good, and the included foot or head massage was nice, but indoor options could be better: carrom had no powder, which they couldn't supply, and the fussball handles were broken. We mostly stayed in the room, with a visit to aquavilla and a little boating. The atmosphere was boring, with little to do. Traffic at Amtala crossing was awful. Local authorities should manage it better or make alternate parallel routes. It took 35 minutes to cover the last 2 kms by car. I'd consider coming back after the renovations are done.

I've been coming here for 15 years, usually on weekends. It's far from kolkata, but good value for money. The property is beautiful and green, and once you're inside, it feels peaceful. There are big lawns, water bodies, and room to relax. The pool and recreation areas are well maintained, with good choices for families and kids. Food is decent, especially the buffet, which has plenty of variety at breakfast. Staff are generally courteous and helpful with little problems.

The cottage and its quiet surroundings turned out to be a real pleasure, despite my initial hesitation about the renovation after the Tata Group takeover. Staff were courteous and helpful, and arranged golf cart rides to show me places around the property. Getting there from Kolkata was a bit of a saga. The ride from the airport took around two hours, and several Ola drivers cancelled because they were worried about not finding a return fare from so far away. I eventually negotiated with a cab driver and paid ₹1,350 more than the Ola app estimate. A number of adventure activities, including zip-lining, kayaking, and archery, were closed during my visit. The pool was enjoyable and well kept, open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The spa also offers a complimentary head or foot massage every two days, a nice touch. Renovations did limit some things, but I had a relaxing stay and would consider coming back once the activities resume and the property is fully revamped.

We came again with our school students, 500 children this time, and had a nice day out. The pools were clean, blue, and well maintained, and the hospitality was very good. The food they served this visit exceeded our expectations. Hope to return next year.

The rooms had dust and a lingering unpleasant smell, and weren't as clean as they should have been. Staff seemed uninterested in helping, responding slowly and showing little basic courtesy. Some advertised facilities were closed or poorly maintained. Food choices were limited and disappointing, with little freshness or flavor. I expected more from Ibiza Hotel and Resort, and wouldn't recommend it for a comfortable or enjoyable stay.
