Itsy Hotels Transit Express Near Sealdah Station

I left within ten minutes of arriving because the place was so unacceptable. There was a foul smell at reception, and the lobby and lifts were poorly maintained. The rooms were dirty, with damp, unhygienic walls, and the whole property had a shady, B-grade feel. It wasn't at all as advertised, and I don't recommend it.

The location is great, right behind Mother Teresa's house of children. Breakfast is puri, sabji, and tea. The place is okay if all you need is somewhere to sleep, but it’s badly managed and the rooms smell. The sheets don’t look clean.

The bathrooms were very clean, but the rooms had mould from seepage and poor ventilation. The AC wasn’t working properly. That was manageable during the mild summer heat around March 12-14, 2026, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here until the rooms are improved.

The rooms were very dirty, and the washrooms always smelled bad. The bedsheets were unclean, and the room telephone was just for show because it didn’t work at all. I booked two rooms, but what I got didn’t match the rooms shown in the pictures. The hotel mentioned complimentary breakfast, but breakfast was actually charged separately. There was also no working greaser.
