Lytton Hotel

The bathroom was in such poor condition that I couldn't bathe, and there was only a bucket. The room was filthy, smelled awful the whole time, and even had rats. It was hard to rest or stay in there. This raised serious hygiene and safety concerns, and the place falls below basic cleanliness standards. Management needs to deal with the sanitation and pest issues. I strongly advise business travelers and others against staying here.

We could walk to the race venue, and the staff were happy to help with requests. I stayed this weekend for the Kolkata 25km run. The rooms were spacious and clean, and after the race, beer and snacks were a lovely bonus. A comfortable, pleasant stay. Thank you Lytton!

I spent far too much for service this poor. Even getting basic help took constant effort, and when I tried to sort out problems, the replies were dismissive and only made things more frustrating. The staff seemed indifferent to guests, and the hospitality was practically absent. Calling it overpriced barely captures it. I'd avoid this hotel unless you want to feel overcharged and frustrated.

The women in our group stayed without any anxiety and felt safe. The staff were cordial, and the place was kept neat. The Indian museum is within walking distance, while markets and shopping areas are around 10 km away.
