MORVEE ALIPORE Hotel

The rooftop terrace and the free parking, Wi-Fi, and breakfast are nice to have, and both the restaurant and rooftop cafe serve tasty food at reasonable prices. What stood out most was the cleanliness: the rooms were kept spotless, and the housekeeping and front desk teams were polite, helpful, and attentive. Morvee Hotel Alipore is well located and offers good value, with modern comfort for a Kolkata business or leisure stay.

We had planned a vacation and booked Morvee because it brought back memories of my dad's time serving in the Army at the nearby Command Hospital. Then medical issues forced us to cancel. The policy said we were entitled to a 100% refund, so we requested one, but since then there has been no clarity and I'm still waiting to hear back. In this digital world it feels like going online is the only way to get their attention. Remarkable, right? I hope someone from Morvee management will contact me.

Getting around was easy from Morvee Hotels Alipore in Chetla/Alipore. Uber and Ola were available round the clock, and the ride to the airport took about 60 minutes in rush-hour traffic. The hotel has parking for up to six cars, if I remember correctly. Housekeeping did an excellent job, and room service was quick, delivering food up to 11:30 pm. Laundry is handled outside the hotel, but clothes handed in during the morning came back the same day. My room was a decent size and stocked with basics, including two 500 ml bottles of mineral water, tea and coffee sachets, a comb, shaving and dental kits, a first aid kit, sewing kit, shower cap, hair dryer, electric kettle, and shoe shiner. The bathroom mirror with touch lighting was a nice feature. There was no fan, though, so I had to rely on the AC. Check-in and checkout were very fast, and the bills were properly prepared, including GST and supporting food bills. The food was just okay and quite expensive. Outside food, including Swiggy or Zomato orders, wasn't allowed. Breakfast was so-so, and I felt there could have been more options. This was my first stay here, and I was impressed overall. A very good hotel, highly recommended.

The location made it convenient to explore Alipore, and I had a really enjoyable stay at Morvee Hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well kept, with a comfortable mix of modern amenities. Staff were courteous and quick to help throughout, from a smooth check-in to checkout. There was a good variety of tasty food at the in-house restaurant. It exceeded my expectations, and I'd happily visit again.
