OYO 11453 Radhe Palace

I spent four days at Treebo Radhe Palace, Kolkata, and had one of the worst hotel stays I've experienced. A big part of the problem was Treebo's lack of accountability. We were booking with Treebo for years, so I wasn't expecting this. Treebo lost a valuable customer. My advice is not to book this property, either through Treebo or directly, and not to count on support after payment. The check-in was a mess. They showed us several rooms, each with problems. Some weren't properly cleaned, and others had serious security issues. The reception staff member had no manners and ordered me to adjust in the last room he would show, saying he wouldn't change it the next day when another room became available. The rooms didn't look like the pictures online, and it felt like they were seeing whether we'd put up with them. After a lot of wasted time, we had to accept a room that was just about okay, and they demanded full payment at check-in. The main issue was that there was no hot water, despite Treebo advertising it as available 24/7. The geyser ran for less than a minute before switching off. We reported this several times to the staff and reception, and a technician came to check. The hotel maintenance team admitted in front of staff that it was their fault and couldn't be fixed. We were told to “adjust.” We couldn't move to another hotel because the location mattered for work, and Treebo couldn't offer an alternative nearby. When I raised the issue with Treebo, they said, “You will be compensated,” but no compensation came. After checkout, Treebo said they'd called several times. I was in Kolkata for work and couldn't spend all day on calls. When I tried calling back, the number wouldn't connect, and they didn't try again. Once I was home and contacted them, the representative was rude and dismissive, said there was no issue, and suddenly asked for video proof, which they had never requested while we were there. They ignored the technician's admission. After collecting the full amount for four days, the hotel told Treebo there had been no issue, contradicting what they'd told us in person. Don't trust Treebo's promises or expect it to help once you've paid. Save your money, time, and peace of mind. I'm posting this so others can make an informed decision, which Treebo clearly failed to help us do.

When we complained, the staff seemed indifferent and didn't offer any real help. The place shouldn't be operating in its current condition, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Spend your money somewhere that respects basic cleanliness. This was easily the worst hotel stay I've had: filthy rooms, stained sheets, dusty furniture, and a foul smell throughout. The toilets were disgusting, stained, uncleaned, and clearly hadn't been maintained for days. It was impossible to feel comfortable or hygienic there.

The rooms are very small, and the service isn't great. I'd avoid it unless you're really trying to save money.

I stayed three nights and the restroom wasn't cleaned once. There was no housekeeping during my stay, and the reception staff were rude and unfriendly. One of the worst hotel experiences I've had. I wouldn't recommend it to solo travelers or bachelors. Really disappointing management.
