OYO 71260 J S Palace

I had the worst hotel experience. The manager acted as if the place were his private house and questioned and verbally harassed us when we arrived at night, without first doing the check-in. We'd told OYO customer care about our late arrival, but they hadn't passed it on. The hotel also hadn't checked that we had booked for two people, and the manager's behavior was irresponsible and unethical. We took two bottles of water and weren't given a bill. They also don't have car parking. I would never recommend it.

I booked one night through OYO, but after a tiring day of work, they wouldn't let me in when I arrived. They said they'd ended their OYO partnership three months earlier and wanted another 1500 rupees if I was going to stay. Don't trust them, this felt like a scam.

I had already paid online for an OYO booking, but the hotel still asked me for an extra 1500 rupees when I arrived. The person before me had the same problem and paid because he was exhausted, but I couldn't get my money back. The receptionist was very rude. It felt like a total scam.

Everything was okay during my stay, though the service could be better. It's in a Marwari community area, with khatu shyam baba temple nearby. If I visit Kolkata again, I'd stay here.
